Hello, I would like to know if Sara's question below was ever addressed? I have
the same problem where two developers are working on one remote site (from very
different geographical locations!). We are having all kinds of problems
updating items, pulling them down and having them still work.

Is there an easier way to be going about all this? The check-in/check-out
procedure seems to be cumbersome at best. Help! Please tell me where I can find
further information to make our lives easier.

Since the parent post has scrolled from my archive (and alot of other
readers, too, probably), can you restate your details, please?

Sorry, this was the message I was referring to:

Where 2 users are sharing a remote site, and each have a copy on our local C
drives that's the local site. We have updated library items and checked them
into the remote site. When they are opened in dreamweaver we see the updates
but when we drag the library items into our pages, they do not show the updates
we have made. It's almost like there is an extra library item flying around in
space, because we can't find it on either of our drives or on our remote site.
OR, I can update the library items on my local side, then update the remote and
it works fine. But when the other user drags them down, they don't work. She
has to redefine everything, which starts the snowball effect of them no longer
working for ME! Help!

If there are multiple folks working on a remote site, and they are using mm
products, they should enable checking/checkout. It's a primitive version
control system but it works if all the users are using dreamweaver or
contribute.

A guess at the problem- do you both have the site defined to the same folder
level of the remote site?
