problems with flash in dreamweaver

hello,

Im having trouble getting a simple flas movie to work in a dreamwaver site im making. I can insert it and make the grey box to the right size and when i preview the site it all works perfectly.

BUT if i try to play the movie by clicking 'play' in the control panel (im not too sure whats the right name for it. its the box with "target, link, format, size and many other options including play) the grey box goes blank.
Also, when i tried uploading the site to see if it would work anyway the flash will not load (it just keeps loading forever) although the text underneath loads straight away.

The movie isnt very large and doesnt incluse and sound.

Can anyone see what im doing wrong?
