Problems with check-in/out

I had set up a site originally with the check-in/check-out option
enabled. I have since decided not to use that feature since for now I
am the only one making changes to my site.

The problem is that now whenever I am uploading my site, I get a message
saying that I am modifying a totally different page.

How can I get it to stop asking me if I'd like to overwrite the files,
and possibly mess up the site that *myself* is modifying, but not
really!! I know, its confusing.

There are a couple of files I can delete in the folder before I upload
my site, will that do it? They're _notes and _mmServerScripts

Steve, I having almost the same problem. A guy I hired decided to upload his
old local files to the server, I can't up load my files because the
check-in/out system on't let me. It first wants to download what on the server
and thereby destroying my version of the file. I haved made lots of changes to
our server but there are not on the server any more, they are on my local.
