Default Problem with website passwords in preview - 06-25-2004 , 04:33 PM

I'm due to take over a website initially setup by someone else. It has a
members only section that requires the user to type in a login name. Members
names/passwords are stored in an Access file. When I set up Dreamweaver and the
existing site on my computer it will not let me through in web preview mode. If
a non existent name/password is entered it will go to a specific 'try again'
page which suggests that it is looking at the database members list. But if I
enter a legitimate password the name and password box just clears when
submitting. These passwords work fine on the live version on the internet. Any
suggestions?

are you using a Testing Server? Is the db setup?

It is an asp page that reloads itself, right?
Is the asp being processed when you are looking at it.
