Have you tried the clean up word doc. command? You'll find it listed in the Commands menu. --------------------------------snip---------------------------------- |

The only "Clean Up" commands I see is "Clean Up Word HTML" and "Clean Up HTML." Neither of those apply in this case. |

I have a problem trying to import a Word document into Dreamweaver MX 2004 for Mac OSX. Even though the program now can retain all the italics and boldface attributes of the text, when I attempt to save the Dreamweaver html file, I get the following error message: "The document's current encoding can not correctly save all teh characters within the document. You may want to change to UTF-8 or an encoding that supports the special characters in this document." A quick search of Dreamweaver Help under "UTF-8" doesn't give me an answer. Also, when I import Microsoft Word text in this manner, I find I can't change the size of the text using the normal "+1, +2, etc." Dreamweaver Text - Size commands. I suspect it thinks the text has an embedded Style sheet somewhere and is preventing me from changing it. Is there a way to override this setting so that I can easily change Text size? --Marc Can't you save the Word doc as HTML and edit in DW? |

I'm importing a Microsoft Word document by using cut-and-paste. |

Why not give it a try? You might be surprised. --------------------------------snip---------------------------------- |
