Default Problem with Image Buttons - 11-13-2004 , 05:52 PM

I normally use regular buttons, but I'm starting to experiment with image
buttons, and I'm running into two problems:

1. The button I named "Submit" works fine, but the button I named "Reset"
submits the form instead of clearing it.

2. When I use HTML buttons, I can select the "Submit" button and use the
"Validate Form" behavior. When I select the "Submit" image button, it doesn't
appear as an option in the behaviors menu.

I'm using the standard "Image Field" for both.

Thanks.

for a reset button - you can use image buttons for submit.

Hi,
By the way...
You won't see your button in design view. You need to preview it in a browser.
Take care,
Tim

I've often wondered why you would need a reset button anyhow. Is there a
purpose to it?

Hello, You can use CSS to define the Reset button's background image.
Support for styling form elements is very poor across different
browsers, so I wouldn't rely on that.

I don't normally use them, but a client is requesting this one.

I wonder what it would do for them? How large is the form?
