Problem: dw does not save changes!

Hello everyone I have been facing problems with dreamweaver I noticed that
when I save change something and then save the changes it looks ok but after i
close the file and then open it again i see no changes in the file... i even
tried to make Save As and then change it, but it still does not work! can
someone tell me what's the problem? thanks in advance to everyone

change in the code, for instance, i added a style to remove the underline link,
I save it, it looks ok, but when i close and the open the file i can't see the
code, even when I save it i imediately see wether it works in the browser or
not, i see that my code does not take effect at all, which might be attributed
to the code not being saved! can someone help me?
