Problem with data formatting

Hi there,
I have a form in an asp page which has few "textarea" elements. Now since
"textarea" supports rtf, all line breaks & other features are clearly visible.
I have another asp page which is the printer friendly version of the same.
Somehow I am not able to get the same formatting on this page unless i
substitute the relevant asp variable in a textarea object which obviously can't
be done. How do I go about retaining the formatting in this page. Please help
