Default Problem - 07-05-2004 , 11:16 AM

I'm fairly new to dreamweaver, after using products such as HoTMetaL etc. I've
spent all day creating a single page HTML document which I would like to send
out as an eShot to a select group of people, mainly as a weekly update type
newsletter, but instead of just using Word etc, I wanted links etc on there as
well.
How do I take my dreamweaver file and transfer it in to an e-mail, whilst
keeping all the images etc I've put on there. Is this possible ?? If not, any
suggestions please ??

Many thanks in advance

Put your images on some remote location and link to them using an absolute
link, e.g.,

<img src="http://www.domain.com/images/foo.gif"...>

You cannot 'embed' images in an email otherwise.

Many thanks for the reply ...

Ok - I understand the remote location so anyone opening the e-mail, the images
would download - but how do I go about getting the HTML document to appear
directly on the e-mail without simply attaching it ... ?

You set your email client's output format to HTML, open the page as a draft,
and send it.

What email client are you using?

I'm trying to send it through Outlook 2000, mainly to other outlook computers
but perhaps to one or two hotmail accounts for external workers ... not sure
what you mean by "open as draft and send" though, but my e-mails are set to
send out as HTML ...

Thanks, Andrew

Just open the page in IE, and use FILE | Send ... > Page by email.
