Printing Backround colors

Is it possible to print table background colors? When I print to a b/w printer, the background color of my tables print as white. Can this be done? Any help is appreciated.

I have never looked into it because if somones printing information they're not
going to want to wast all there ink on colored tables.
If I were you I'd leave it like that, when I see to much color I stop the
print... some ink cartridges are up to 50 dollars.

These pages are rarely printed in color - I need to show someone the look of the page. I'm trying to avoid screen capture printouts through Photoshop.

On IE go to Tools/Internet Options/Advanced Tab... then scroll down and
click the "Print background colors and images" radio button.

This is a local printer setting. Short of visiting and configuring each of
your site surfer's printers, you are outta luck - until all browsers support
CSS2 fully, however.

someone the work and avoid using screen captures printed out of Photoshop!
