Default Previewing problems - 11-09-2005 , 09:31 AM

All of a sudden, when I preview a web page in IE or Mozilla, none of my images
are coming up. They are there, but when doing a preview of the local host
fies, none of the images show. When I look at the live page on the web server
it looks fine. So I know the files are there, but since yesterday I can't see
them when I do a local preview. Has this happened to anyone else?

Thanks

Check your links, I think you changed the image links from document to
root related.

sounds like a bad configured local webserver...

Yes. Do you have your picture saved in another directory. Example:

When calling your images they're located in:
http://www.yoursite.com/photos/August/pic1.jpg ?
OR
Are your images located in: http://www.yoursite.com/pic1.jpg ?

If you're using the first method, I have had issues with it not displaying
them from a browser preview via Dreamweaver from the local host files....not
sure why....

My server guy came up and installed a MS update (MS05-053) that fixed the
problem. IE is still acting a little wierd (it won't remember to open up full
screen), but the images are back. Thanks for your reply.

To anyone else having this problem - - - get the update from MS asap.
