Preview problem

We use check in/out on our site, but when I check in a file, work on it, then
want to preview it, DW asks if I want to save before putting. I think I have to
say Yes so that the changes will show up, but then the so-called preview is the
production page. Earlier, I used to see the preview on my LAN, where the local
version of the site is saved. How did this change? How can I fix it?

Edit > Preferences > Preview in Browser > Preview using temporary files
(check it)
