Default Prevent pop up blocker from blocking? - 07-19-2003 , 08:01 PM

I have a website where the user clicks on a link and a new browser window opens up. I've noticed that some popup blockers block treat this "open new browser window" code as a pop up ad. Is there a way around this?

I recently installed Earthlink's Total Access pop up blocker and it behaves the way described above.

if there is a way around pop-up blockers, advertisers would have found it by
now The whole point of a pop-up blocker is not to be circumvented - so I
don't think you'll have much luck.

Some might allow hrefs with target="_blank" to pass however - give it a try
(although you won't have any control over how the new window shows up)
