Default PPLLEEEEAASSEEE H.E.L.P. "Tag madness" - 01-13-2004 , 08:02 AM

I really hope someone can jump in and help me THIS time. I posted this
before and can't seem to get a solid answer from anyone. Please look at
the URI below:

http://wetworks.nl/wtf.gif

What's happening here? It's been suggested that I may have fallen asleep
on "Apply Tag" button. Nice one,.. funny but it doesn't solve my problem.

The thing is, this problem STILL occurs and my pages get stuffed with
excessive code.

PLEEEAASSEE, help!

Coen:

No - I am asking you. And I asked first.

I need to know what you did right before you noticed this!

I cannot look at the image and tell you what happened to produce the
code....

Shot in the dark? You have a sticky Ctrl^I key. (^I = italics; modern
amd proper equivalent for <i> tag is <em>). I just tested in DWMX - if
you do ^I in design view, it acts as a toggle; if you do ^I in code view,
it just keeps adding nested <em>s.

Now - I've seen some (bad) code where, to achieve a really *BOLD* look,
it uses multiple nested <b> tags. What is the physical meaning of many,
many <i> (or <em>) tags?

Let's try and understand one another. I don't understand this. I just
noticed the multiple tags. I do not know how I (or DW) produced them. If
I knew, I would've probably created a workaround.

I just noticed it when looking at the code.

I can't reproduce this. Whether in design view or code view, clicking
the button multiple times just adds or removes the tag.
And a sticky CTRL key,.. no my CTRL key is working properly.
