Default Portability before publishing? - 11-29-2004 , 08:50 AM

I'm new to Dreamweaver and have managed to get fairly well on with a site I am
building for a friend. He is in Norway at the moment, I'm in the U.K. He is
asking me if I can 'send' the site in it's current state so that he can assess
progress with a working partner. Can anyone help and/or let me know how I could
do that, please?

Assuming that all the links in the site are document-relative, you can just
send him the whole directory containing the site files. If it's not too
large, you could zip it and email it. If it is too large, you could upload
it to a remote server and give him a link to download it.

Hope that helps,

Assuming that it's all client-side processing and no server stuff
required, you could do that. Of course, if you can upload the .zip, why
not upload the site and let them see it live, perhaps in a protected
directory?

I kinda figured that if it was a database-driven site, he wouldn't be asking
a question like that. :-D
