plugin perameters?

hello, i wish to add music to my site, i know how to make a plugin hidden, but how do i make the music just play through with out restarting every time you change page on the site, i presume its to do with the perameters, can u please tell me what to type to achieve this behavour. AND if its not to much bother, how do i make a button to turn the music on and off to replace the button it gives you with the plugin, (obviously i wont make it hidden then)
