Default Please Help Me New to Dreamweaver - 06-09-2008 , 05:57 PM

I am trying to design my first website and am lost. First off, I wanted my
picture page to look something like the
following....http://janineturner.com/gallery.html and I have not been able to
figure out how to get the pictures to pop up in the same area next to the
thumbnails. Anyone know how to help with that? My 2nd problem is that I've
created my picture pages(there are 22 pages and over 100 pics total) and I've
placed the pictures on the left side but when I go to view them in my internet
browser it shows them in the center. WHY and how do I fix this? Adobe support
to call in was of no help. They want me to pay for support and I cannot afford
that. I don't know much about what I'm doing so please bear with me. I need
step by step instructions. Thanks.

I'm guessing that your support is entirely with HTML and not at all with DW,
so it's no surprise that Adobe wouldn't help much.

Give us a link to your page, please.

If you can post a link to your pages. That will be the only way to tell what
is going on and why things are appearing where.

In regards to that gallery that you see, it is actually a different page for
each picture being loaded. They have some sort of script though from the looks
of it which is automating this task. This can be done but we would need to
know what type of scripting you can use on your server whether it be PHP, ASP,
JSP, etc. If you are unsure of this your best bet here would be to ask your
web hosting provider.

As well as the links below - another way to learn (including anyone else's bad
habits) is to find a page you like, and then tell your web browser to show you
the code view for the page and/or do a "Save As" and save the page to your
computer to then copy & paste code segments into your file (in IE click View at
the top, select Source from the options)
