Please help! Dreamweaver crashing

Bought a used mac from a guy who is now out of the country and out of touch.
The computer came with Dreamweaver installed and I am eager to begin learning
to use this software to design web sites. When I try to open it I get this
error message:

"The following javascript error(s) occurred:
At line 23 of file"Macintosh HD:Applications:Adobe Dreamweaver
CS3:Configuration:Shared:Common:Scripts:dwscripts
Server.js":
ReferenceError: dwscripts is not defined

When I click OK, the application suddenly quits. I'm new to dreamweaver and
have no idea what to do about this. Can anyone help?
