Hey Murray! I've noticed that some of your posts aren't displayed right away.
When I posted on this thread your comments weren't there and now your post
comes up before mine. Might be the reason people don't answer your questions.

I noticed the exact same thing WillyPrints, i thought it was something to do
with my computer - what with my PWP not updating, and then this forum not
updating for some period of time - i was starting to get a little paranoid!!!

Glad somebody else is experiencing the same!!

I'm just trying to make things easier and less frustrating for newcomers to this forum. I'm glad your getting responses tho, I felt like I was missing something to. Have a good one!

Hi Sonic
I had the same problem this weekend, I've managed to sort it (I hope) by doing
the following:
1) Emptying my temporary internet files (usually via Control Panel/Internet
Options or similar)
2) On Internet Explorer, go into Tools/Synchronize and synchronize the pages
3) Try refreshing your page or republishing
I'm a complete novice (see my problem for clarification!), but this seemed to
work.
Hope it does for you.
Karen

This is a problem between what you are using - the webforums - and what I am
using - the nntp forums. If you were using the latter, you would see all
the posts, all the time, instantly. To use the nntp forums instead of the
webforums, you would need to use a newsreader - and yes, I use
OutlookExpress because it works so well. Create a new news account under
TOOLS | Accounts, and have it point to the server at -

forums.macromedia.com

You don't need to login or anything. Just download the list of forums,
subscribe to those you want, and get busy reading.

Reading this newsgroup would be much easier for you if you all switched to a
news reader (like OE and there are others) and joined the nntp forum (not
the web forum).

Most of the answers to the questions come from those of us who use the nntp
forum - you don't have to wait for the web forum to catch up

To each their own. OE is free and it works perfectly well. I have tried the
others and keep coming back to OE.

In Windoze I recommend Forte Agent - I've used it for about 6 years
and it is currently on release 3.1

Free Agent is perfectly adequate and IMHO much better than Outlook
Express.

If you like it and want a few more features it's $US29
