Please Help

Hello, my question may sound dumb, in DW I would like to use a Sample Page
Design(CSS Two-Column Left Nav) for a simple link web page, but I can not
figure out how to have a link that is selected open within the same page, every
option I use in the target drop down box just lets me open the link in a whole
new browser window Please any help would let me sleep a little better.
