php_mysql connection problems :(

Hi

Been using PHAKT for ages now and love the ADOdb connections....

Now I am being forced to use the std DW php_mysql server model...but am
having problems creating a connection....

I have...

Connection Name - connIntranet
MySQL Server - 172.16.32.23
User Name - paulb
Password - **** (correct password)

When I hit the "Select" DB button i get the error "An unidentified error has
occurred", anyone able to help.....

I can use Webmin to access the DB so I know username and password are ok and
also IP address.....any thoughts???
