Default PHP indention and edition - 07-11-2004 , 06:17 AM

Hello,
i have two simple questions:

1- why that when I indent a code on dreamweaver MX 2004 using the spacebar and
then open it on some php editor the spaces get replaced by tabs and the code
get very disorganized ?

2- is there any extension that replace the default PHP symbol on dreamweaver
MX 2004 for something that you can edit the font, size, etc.
For example, when i write <?php echo "hello"; ?> and go to design view i see a
PHP symbol and when i click it i can edit the PHP code, but this way i can't
edit the PHP line font, size, etc, etc. I know i can do it on several ways, but
isn't there a easyer way to do that, something that just replace, for example,
the php symbol with a editable area?

Thank you

I am using MX 6.1 possibly MX 2004 is different.

1. Check your DW Preferences: Edit > Preferences > Code Format.

2. Try using the Code View under View > Code or
View > Code and Design.
