hey, i'm a newbie to dreamweaver.... i have an imac 8.6....dreamweaver 3. the tutor clearly says," Using an external image editor You can open a selected image in an external image editor directly from Dreamweaver. When you return to Dreamweaver after saving an image file, any changes you made to the image are visible in the Document window. " however no matter which external editor I use (photoshop or imagefolio), this ain't happening....i either get the original unedited image or an image icon. any thoughts? clark |

first, make sure all images you use are in your site folder. Then it should work, but you'll still have to click on the little refresh icon next to the sizes boxes of your images in the properties panel. |

The roundtriping with graphics is FWs only I believe. (I could be wrong as I don't use PS - but have no problems doing this using FWs). You can use your other image software to edit, but you would need to re-export. no you don't. I use Photoshop as my editing image software for Dreamweaver. |
