Default paths question - 11-17-2004 , 05:05 PM

Recently DMX just began placing a slash before every image or style sheet
reference I place into a page...i.e. "/images/someimage.gif" or
styles="/styles.css". So, I end up going back and removing them so the
images display. How can I prevent this from happening? Thanks.

somewhere along the way, you have switched from doc relative to root
relative when linking to an image or a file. Once you make this switch, it
is 'sticky', meaning it stays that way until you change it back. You need
to change the setting back to doc relative and it will stay that way until
*you* change it again.

I forgot that I had switched to site relative with another project. Changed
it back. Thanks a bunch!

How do you switch from Document-relative to Root-relative?

I know this has been asked before, but I really need step by step instructions for a beginner. Please HELP!

Do, the following...open your page and just go to insert > image and make
sure at the bottom of the dialog box the "relative to" dropdown menu is set
to "document" or "site-root" depending on which you want. If you do this
once it will globally change the settings until you change it again in the
same way.

You can then delete the image, but the relative path settings will now be
set.

Hope that helps.
