Default Page footer using Templates - 07-31-2004 , 02:11 PM

I'll quickly reveal just how much of a beginner I am with Dreamweaver's
approach. I've previously used tables to layout pages, but after sitting in on
the recent Dreamweaver seminar online I came away feeling like I'm not supposed
to use anything but the <DIV> tag to lay out pages. I'm working on a site
(still very early stages, nothing to show yet) where the top navigation will be
repeated throughout most of the site, so I'm trying my best to use a Template,
then defining most of the rest of the Template page as an editable region

But I want to use a page footer with copyright info and all that. And I
thought I'd be able to use a Library footer that I created a long time ago. How
can I get the footer to locate to the bottom of the page?

AFAIK, there's no 100% reliable way to lock a div at the bottom of a
page crossbrowser and regardless of the size of the content above it.

Which online seminar? If you came away from it with that impression, then
the host for the seminar should be ashamed.

Use tables if they suit you and your needs. BUT LEARN CSS. Sometime in the
future, you'll discover that you don't need to use tables so much....
