overwriting index file

By accident I've overwritten my index file and uploaded it to my server. But
still I see my main page as I want it to be when I connect to Internet. Can
anyone please help me out of this akward situation?

try viewing all your pages on the server, where you have your index.asp/html
etc etc change the page name to oldIndex.asp/html ot what ever, then try
uploading your new page.

then see if you can view it on your browser, maybe when you uploaded it
previous you uploaded it into a dir or something of your site in error.

over wish have u gone to your page and clicked refresh.
