I'm curious. Are you using a large flat-screen? I would think the size of
the screen and resolution combination could affect it greatly.

It really looks awful on my LCDs, too. Perhaps it's meant for young
eyes only.

I'm using a Samsung 191T attached to a Win2k machine running at
1280x1024 and a Samsung 192T attached to a WinXP machine running at
1280x1024. And just as an aside, I have font-smoothing turned off for
normal text on the Macs, as well (which are also flat screen equipped).
It's just a preference of mine. I hate Flash movies that use
anti-aliased text for body copy too. When it involves reading what's on
the page, I prefer clarity and pixels as opposed to the slight smearing
affect that is used to smooth screen fonts.
