Hello all, I know it sound weird asking about Netscape 5, but my WebTrends reports are logging NS5 browsers. There aren't many, but I'm curious as to what may have identified itself as such. WebTrends also identifies a large number of "Other Netscape Compatible" browsers. Any thoughts on what those could be? Given that this is a site for our corporate retirees, I'm betting it's mostly AOL browsers or something along that line given AOL isn't listed in the stats. Best regards, Chris |

whatever version of AOL a user has, they have that version of Internet Explorer... Unless they have the latest Mac version, which is Mozilla based. Also note that AOL users can use a different browser if they wish to. Also note that AOL is at version 8...there isn't a Netscape or IE version at that number yet. ;o) 'Netscape Compatible' just means the browser is using that in it's ID string. IIRC, 'Netscape 5' is how early versions of NN6 introduced themselves. -Darrel |
