[OT] turn off IIS

Anybody know how I can have IIS disabled until i start it manually. (XP pro)
I cant seem to find the right setting in administrative tools

My firewall complains a lot about intruders trying to do nasty things like
"HTTP_IIS_ISAPI_Extension"
I dont need iis to run all the time, only when i'm working on my websites.

Even on a normal dialup modem connection i get loads of attacks. it must be
sheer hell for people with an always on connection.
