Sounds like some sort of East asian martial arts practice. ;o)

Granted, sometimes to deal with Windows, a few karate chops are needed...

MacOS burned CDs usually contain these filesystems: HFS+, ISO-9660 with Rock
Ridge, and Joliet with Rock Ridge. I never had any problems using CDs/DVDs
burned on my Mac on a Windows machine. If the Mac user burned the CDs using
Toast that's another story.

I'm not a Mac user, but I've had a lot of problems with files Mac users have
burned on CDs. As I understood it, you can burn them in Mac or
"dual/universal" format, and if the person doesn't know the difference, they
burn them as Mac only and they're unreadable on a PC.

I'm sure there are better, and more technical, terms for it, but that's the
gist of it.
