Default OT: Listing a Site - 08-03-2004 , 05:56 PM

I have a client that wants to barter a site to me in exchange for his
services. He asked me about listing his site and that, as he understands, it
must be re-listed / re-submitted each year to keep it up in a descent spot.
He's speaking mainly from the AOL world, yet I'm sure other search engines
apply.

The few sites that I have done had already been listed with most of the
search engines at the time that I had made the new sites, so this has never
come up for me. AOL and listing a site I know nothing about. What would be
the steps that I need to take to get his site listed once I finish it? If
there's a cost then this may determine weather or not I want to take on this
project.

Thanks for any help,
Tony

Tony

Most search engines have a page where you can register a URL with them. They
all differ in terms of how they allocate the order with many charging for
the position.

If you take google as an example a site position in the list can be
determined by how many other sites link to it.
