Default OT how to delete multiple files in cPanel? - 02-15-2005 , 09:02 AM

Does anyone know how to delete hundreds of files from a folder via the
cPanel?
I have 1000's of files I've reorganized into folders but now need to
delete the individuals from the www/ folder.
I'd be happy with a delete *.jpg kind of an action.
Thanks,
Chip

I haven't used the File Manager in cpanel very much.

if it's got ways to sort the files like in dreamweaver's F8 site manager
window, you could sort by file type. (assuming it's JPEG files you want to
toss?)

in dw, that would group all the jpg files together. You could then click on
the top listed one, and shift-click on the last one, and they are all
selected. then click the delete key, or right-click:delete.

Alan,
Thanks, I guess I'll end up doing that. It's just very slow when you're
talking about literally 6000 files. That's why I wanted to do it server
side, thought it would be much faster than with FTP.
Thanks,
Chip
