OT: Firefox 1.5x browser save image Sloooowwwwnnnneeesssss

Has anyone noticed that Firefox 1.5x on windows is really
ssslllloooowwww if you right-click on something to download or save it?
It seems to lock up my browser for a good 20 seconds - unrelated to
download speed.

Anyone else?

curious about it. I don't remember older FF browsers doing it - it
seemed to start with the last couple of releases, I think.

Nevermind. I figured out the issue - clearing the download list helped
tremendously. I never think to clear this.

Glad you found your problem, Donna. If I were you (and you may have already
done this) I'd go into Tools > Options > Privacy > Download History and make
sure you have -- Remove files from the Download Manager: Upon successful
download.

Yes, thanks, I did that and reset it to empty on closing Firefox. It
makes a HUGE difference for anyone suffering from slow down on saving
images or files from a Firefox browser link.
