Correction:
When I had installed FF and started it for the first time, I got an
alert telling me that the extensions I used, e.g. "web developer",
weren't compatible. It asked me if I wanted the app to look for more
recent versions, and I said "yes". When it had been digging around the
Internet for about ten minutes without any result - good or bad - I
canceled the search and launched the browser.
I simply took for granted that the extensions shouldn't work.
However, after using FF for a few minutes, I noticed that I *had* "web
developer", and that it was working as before.
