Default OT: Alternative to Web Matrix - 07-10-2003 , 10:27 AM

Is there an alternative to web matrix for coding ASP.NET? As much as I like
the way it tabs different sections of code so I can work with HTML and the
code separately, I don't like the way it doesn't autocomplete (like DWMX
does for ASP) and how there really isn't that much color coding in it. Is
there anything else I can try? What is VisualBasic.NET like?

Also, does anyone have any suggestions as to how to code pages in ASP.NET?
For instance, do I completely design the whole site using normal HTML as
place holders for forms and stuff in DWMX, and then convert to WebMatrix, or
something else, to use the web controls and add VB code and stuff?

You can get a trial of VSNET Profeesional from MS - just have to pay the
s&h. Alternatively some of the books from MSPRess have a trial copy of vsnet
pro in them tho those may be vs2002.
