Default Open File Dialog Box - 07-09-2004 , 02:11 PM

Greetings all,

I've looked around the MM web site and other resources but I didn't find an
answer to this. I'm using MX 2004 on Windows 2000 Pro.

When I click File>Open, the files are displayed in List mode. I need to have
the files sorted by date, so each time I do an Open, I have to change the
mode and the sort order. Not a show stopper, but a real pain in the derriere
to do this 100 or so times a day!

Does anyone know how to change the default display mode of the File Open
dialog?

Thanks,
Larry123

I'm not sure how to change the default settings and not even sure if it's
posible at all but to orginize it by date right click inside the open menu and
select "view" followed by "details" you will see all the statistics of your
files and at the top will be tabs click the tab "date" and it'll sort them by
date you may have to do this every time you open it but if your going through
so many files it should help somwhat.

Thanks Flash,

I am following your procedures (100+ times a day). I'm just wondering if
there's a way to make those settings "stick."
