onkeydown / onkeyup - 11-02-2005 , 12:05 PM

I am using a javascript funtion that counts and trims the contents of a text
box as a user types in it. Dreaweaver is telling me the onkeydownattribute of
the textarea tag is not supported by Netscape 6.0 same for onkeyup.

Is there a way around this?
