Default odd table problem with Safari - 01-02-2006 , 01:53 PM

Hello,

I'm finding an odd problem that only occurs with Safari on a Mac (v.1.3.1). I
have 3 pages - all coded the same, but using different images. Basically it's a
couple of tables, with a grid of images on the left, that when clicked display
a larger image on the right.

On one of the pages, the upper right image in the grid keeps bumping up to the
top. I have double checked the image size and the code, but can't find anything
different than the other two pages that would be causing this. Here's the
problem page:
www.garciadesign.net/fun.html

And the other pages that work fine:
www.garciadesign.net/corporate.html
www.garciadesign.net/college.html

Any ideas? I don't get the problem with either Explorer or Firefox.

Thanks for any help!

Could you post a link to a screenshot of what you are seeing. I am using
Safari 2.0.2 and I really don't see a difference so it may have just been an
issue with Safari 1.x but without seeing what you are seeing I cannot say with
100% certainty that this is just a version issue.

Yes it does seem to be a problem with the way the older version of Safari
rendered pages. Something I would recommend trying to fix your problem will be
to look at the image tag for that image and you will notice the alignment is
set to top. Try setting it to middle or another value to see if the older
version of Safari renders it properly using one of the other alignments.

Well here's something even stranger. I just uploaded the html file to the
server again (same file), and when I emptied the cache on Safari it now
displays correctly. Hmm... I don't ask questions, I'm just glad it works

Thanks for the help!
