No table

Could anybody tell me (or show to me a site) how to make a thumbnail gallery
(every picture with text related) made without tables?
It would be great!
Take all the time you need: I'm just studying the problem.

If you just find that is a bad idea just tell me. For what I'm trying to do it
looks much longer and more difficult than using a table. Still don't know the
result on every browser. Maybe I'll give up. I'd like to see a site built this
way.

Why do you not want to use a table?

Don't fall for the temptation to be "in" or thinking that CSS and divs
are the God sent means to construct a site. Use the tools you have at
your disposal, be it tables, divs or even framesets. Consider the best
solution for each project without ogling at what might be the "cool"
way. Be pragmatic.

A table is probably the best way to create a gallery anyhow.
