Default No Footer visible in AT&T Yahoo Browser - 05-29-2008 , 10:24 AM

In the AT&T Yahoo Browser which uses IE 7.0.5730.13 I cannot see the footer nor can I scroll to it. It shows up fine in Firefox and regular IE 7.0 What do I do?

Perhaps tell us the URL so people can see what's going on?

Dear Hunter,
Thanks for your interest. I am using DW CS3 and am new to Dreamweaver.
Sadly, the site is not far enough along to post it. It will replace a
FrontPage site at www.IndianaEagleForum.org but that will not help you to look
at the old site since the problem is not with the old site but with the new
site. Any ideas on bringing or importing the content would be helpful. I am
stuck about how to put captions under pictures without using tables since
"tables are out" now. Thanks for any help you can give.

Tables are not necessarily "out". They do have their place. I routinely use
both DIVs and Tables depending on the content I'm going to display.

Frankly, if you're migrating from a site done in FP to DW, *don't* bring any
of the content in, per se. All you'll be doing is bringing in either some
code that might be FP-specific or bringing in bad habits/poor code that you
will forget to fix. Start from scratch and do everything new.

Now, not wanting to retype the content, that's understandable. You could
always copy the text from a web browser and then paste it in. I might be a
bit paranoid and paste the text into Notepad first and then copy/paste from
Notepad into DW just to make sure I'm not bringing in some extraneous code,
but you could also paste it directly in Code View and see if you're actually
bringing in any code or not.

As for captions under photos... depending on how you're laying things out,
why not just do a line break or two after the photo and enter the text in
there (presuming that this is all sitting within a paragraph tag). You could
also just put everything in a paragraph tag and use some CSS to style the
caption paragraphs to sit closer to the photos, etc.
