Default Newbie --> stupid question - 08-03-2004 , 11:25 PM

Hello,
I designed the main page of a homepage. What is the best solution to put the
navigationsline on the subpages too. When the user opens the page the files and
pictures for the buttons will be downloaded, when i copy now the mainpage and
rename it and then change it to the subpages has the user to download the files
for the navigation again ??? I don't want to work with frames, because my
navigation is horizontal and there are a lot of subbuttons which slice down
when the user moved over a button and i think they can't cross a frame, or??
And so the mainframe would become very small.
Please help me to find a good solution.

Thanks Christoph

I think I understand what you are asking :-)

If you make a page and then resave it under a new name, that is ok. You
would only need to change the content of the page.
Each page will be downloaded as it is requested by the browser. Once the
first page is cached, the other pages will open a little faster because all
the graphics are in the cache.

You may want to investigate using templates or library items if all your
pages are the same except for your navigation section. Press F1 to check
out the help docs for more information.

I hope this answers your question.
