I can't seem to get my Library Items to validate. I just created a new Library Item and only added a graphic. I then attempted to validate it and it showed three errors. http://www.pixentral.com/show.php?picture=1Zfla06ZaYA37nl4cwaYaxyob4X2hA0 |

[q]Originally posted by: Newsgroup User Don't worry about it. Because a Library item is just a code fragment, it may never validate. I'm at a loss, however, as to why you would make a single image into a Library item - there is certainly no benefit to that that I can think of. And by the way, when we ask to see code, an image is usually not the best way to do that. Either paste the code into a reply or give a link to the live page. [/q] Oy! I am darned if I do and darned if I don't. I appreciate the fact that you are willing to "help" but I get the feeling that us GoLive users are a bit of an annoyance. I often have not posted because of my embarrassment, but then decided to quit worrying about it. Anyway the only reason I used the single item is because I was "experimenting" with the Library items using a simple image. Thank you for your response. |

I'm sorry for my reaction Murray. It seems every day trying to move from GoLive to DreamWeaver (while trying to do everything according to newer standards) is an uphill battle. It wears me down. I appreciate the fact that you respond to my threads. I just wish the answers could come easier, without having to justify everything I do, and that communication could work better. One example is the thread where I was asking a general question about comparing GL with DW's settings and behavior. It had nothing to do with a particular website, but was asked for a link to see the code. Based on a reply from you I think I understand why though. It's because you get these posts via a reader, you often are missing previous information, and have no way of knowing what was initially said. Nevertheless, I am one tired designer, trying to fulfill my commitments, while having to solve one problem after another on a daily basis. Please forgive my harsh response previously. |
