New To Dreamweaver

Hi. I am new to dreamweaver and I recently started having trouble updating html
pages.

When I open the html page in DW, it tells me that there no CSS properties
apply to selection. I can see all the code but the design is all gone. Images
are just a big grey box. Why is this the case when have they always worked
before. Some one told me to test CSS, but how do I do this? How do I re- apply
the existing sheet?

I know that this must be simple stuff to most but, any help would be
appreciated.

View | Style Rendering > Display Styles?

Thanks for your response, but I have already tried this and it didn't help with fixing the problem. Any other ideas??
