Default Need Video Demonstration - 03-28-2009 , 03:42 PM

My brother developed a website for me using Dreamweaver, and I am now going to
take over the edits and future development. Problem is, I have no idea what
the software even looks like. I would like to see a video demo for beginners,
like Dreamweaver for Dummies. Any advise?

You're going to take over a website and you have no experience? Forget it.

Here's honest advice - spend a few weeks studying HTML and CSS. If you are
comfortable there, you won't need any further 'instruction' for how to use
DW.

Thanks for the honesty. I'm a really quick learner and I am committed to it--since my brother just doesn't have time to keep up with the edits. What's the best way for me to study HTML and CSS?

murray -

with all due respect to the valuable insight that you provide here to users of
all levels, i sometimes think that you tend to perpetuate the concept that
building websites is on par with working at the jet propulsion lab or solving
the banking crisis. for all we know, the posters site (and the changes
necessary) is the most basic of basic.... one that someone with a little brains
and some patience could edit (note that he/she did say 'edit' and not 'build
from the ground up') without a lot of problems.

no offense intended.

Editing a structured, but rather abstract language without any knowledge
about it, with a program you don't know? IMHO this calls for disaster
and a lot of frustration.
