Default need a small window for instructions - 11-04-2005 , 02:50 PM

I just created a photo gallery and I'm looking for a way to give keyboard
instructions in a separate window when the user clicks on the link. But I don't
want to use pop-ups. I created a separate page with the instructions, but I
really need it to open in a smaller window. Can anyone tell me how to constrain
the new window so the user knows to close it when they're through? I'm using MX
2004 and Project VII's SlideShow Pro. The page is
http://www.scimsisters.org/movies/history/slideshow/history.html

Thanks in Advance,

Sophia

You might consider show/hide layer behavior.
Also please note that text in slideshow in illegible.
Light text on dark background is tough enough,
but with text that small I doubt anyone over age
forty will be able to read it.

Hi Kenneth,

I found Show-Hide Layers in the help menu. I just wanted to thank you before I
started with it. I agree with your comments on the slideshow. I enlarged the
movie and chose a brighter white text with a stronger alias. It looks much
better, now.

I had family and friends look at the site, but all I got was "nice job"
comments. Thank you for taking the time to send me constuctive criticism. It
really made a difference on the page. It was nice of you to do that.

It makes me wonder what else could be improved. (I think I'll ask for a site
check.)

You are entirely welcome Sophia.
If you care to see an application go here:
http://www.pompa-baldi.com/discography.htm
and roll over an album cover.

And remember, you are applying the behavior to your triggering link,
not to the layer. I can't tell you how many time I have tried to apply the
behavior to the layer... Duhhhh.
