Need Help, Lest Ditch effort before ditching Dreamweaver MX

I have been using Dreamweaver for a couple of years now and I was very satisfied with it until I tried to use WebDav.

I am running Dreamweaver MX on Mac OS X 10.2.6 and I cannot upload of download any of my .php files and some othere with WebDav it gives me an error that is useless, and the HTTP Error Code is 200, that is brillant that Error Code means OK....

I am uploading the Mac OS X 10.1.5 server running Apache with WebDav configured as well as PHP and MySQL.

I can upload and download fine with Adobe GoLive and I am thinking I might just switch to GoLive if I can't get this fixed.

From reading the forums I am not the only one with this problems and I get a bad taste for Macromedia in my mouth everytime I realize that they have never once answered this question why it does not work or a way to work around it.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I got an idea... GET A PC!

WebDAV failures are usually down to incorrectly configured permissions on the server.

TRIPLE check that the user you are connection as has FULL CONTROL (very important) on the files. WebDAV is a nightmare to get working (on IIS), but once I cracked it I've never looked back - DOWN WITH FTP!!!!!




MX is like a box of chocolates - Someone's usually eaten the good bits already!

I will TRIPLE check permissions again on Monday, however I do not understand why Adobe GoLive WebDav works fine and Dreamweaver MX won't.

Any ideas?
