Default Flash menu covers some of my text - 07-09-2008 , 01:35 AM

Hi

I just got a flash menu with dropdown menu that covers some of my text while
they are beeing used. So far so good.

But when I am posting things on my site the flash covers the upper part of my
pages.

How can i post my things without moving the flash? or is it not possible?

If you want to use Flash for navigation, consider this -

1. Some people don't have Flash installed - what do they do?
2. Search engines don't parse Flash links - your site will not be spidered
3. Screen assistive devices don't parse Flash links - what will those users
do?
4. DW cannot maintain links within a Flash movie, so if you move or rename
a linked file, your navigation will break - what will you do?

It's usually a very bad idea for these reasons...

It is just a small site! I will also have ordinary links in the bottom of
the page! All links are with in the site!

You can hide any tag with a Design-time stylesheet that sets the display
style for that tag to 'none', assuming that's what the source you describe
meant. But you really should reconsider using a Flash menu at all.
