Its a Windows Shared Hosting plan...
my connection works great when i upload to the server, so i know that the
communication is setup properly, but i want to be able to connect to the
tables to be able to bind and setup my procedures without havign to hand
code it all..
Im use to using MSAccess locally and remotely so setting up the DSN locally
so i can configure the pages and since the setup is the same on the server
once uploaded everything works fine..
but now with this setup this i can only see once i have uploaded the pages
to the site..

Yes! I've been successfully able to connect to GoDaddy MySQL database. But
only
through lots of trial and error and only through help with customer
support.
First off, what kind of server do you have with them? Is it a shared
hosting or
is it virtual dedicated or dedicated. The method is hugely different with
each
one. I'm checking this regularly because I'm trying to get a question
answered,
so let me know and I'll try to share the knowledge. |
