Default Need help ASAP - 04-02-2009 , 11:39 AM

I worked for a little on my page the other day and did something to the code on
my index page. The flash movie at the top does not display on my index page
although it displays when i test it from within DW. The flash still works on
all other pages so it should be easy for an experience user to decipher the
issue. Please respond and let me know what you need me to show you.

Your <object> and <embed> tags are hopelessly confused and poorly written.

EMBED Tag: http://www.w3schools.com/tags/html5_embed.asp
OBJECT Tag: http://www.w3schools.com/tags/html5_object.asp

Thanks for the responses. I will have a look at the links you suggested
kiusau. I did not design this site, I only attempt to maintain it. I have no
DW training past some i have found online. Thanks again.

[Q]I did not design this site, I only attempt to maintain it. I have no DW
training past some i have found online.[/Q]

It looks to me like DW is the culprit in this case -- not necessarily the
designer.

DW will try to fix things that are wrong without consulting the designer.
Should it fail, it can make things worse by compounding the designer's original
mistake. It is for this reason that it is important to maintain a back-up of
your document after each new major hurdle has been overcome.

Gary, I am appriciative of your reply but I am afraid I do not exactly understand it. Is this something I have to do from within DW or something that I must get to my web server via ftp?

You have not uploaded the AC_RunActiveContent.js file from Dreamweaver to
your server. Locate that file in Dreamweaver. It will be in a folder named
Scripts. Right click on it and click Put on the context menu.
