Default Navigation situation! - 09-01-2003 , 11:40 AM

Hello everybody, I'm new here.

I've been struggling with a personal portfolio site for a few months now, but I think I'm almost done.

I'm having a real problem setting up my navigation bar though and I'm looking for a little advice. I have all my pages built in photoshop and I've been using Image ready to export my HTML files and so far this has worked out well for the pages just showing off artwork.

The problem is that I need to use the same nav bar on all pages and since the buttons (5 of them) are all image based I'd rather not have to build this on each section page.

I've built the Nav bar as a seperate HTML file and last night I tried to copy and paste it into one of the pages that needs it, no dice.

Is there a way to place this whole file into the library of my site and just drag and drop it into the table set up by image ready? I have a box cut into place for it already and it seems like it should be possible.

Thank you all for your time.

This is usually a big mistake simply because that HTML is so fragile, which
means that if you change the shape of the page's contents, your tables
usually fall down in one way or another.

This is a common problem. Investigate the use of DW's Library items,
Templates, or of Server-side includes. DW's F1 Help files are pretty
informative on all of these methods.

I don't have a clue what this could mean - the universe of possible mistakes
you could have made is just too large.

Look at DW's F1 help....
